Patrick is the firm's specialist in tax, trusts and estates, litigation support and business valuation. He also specializes in computer and financial software selection, installation and training, accounting, auditing, and taxation of retailers, wholesalers, restaurants, franchise operators, manufacturers and non-profit organizations.
Patrick has taught classes at Roanoke College as well as continuing professional education classes in taxation for CPA's and attorneys. He has been asked to speak at annual training conference for the Virginia State Bar Association and has been a frequent speaker to various business and civic groups in the Roanoke region and Smith Mountain Lake. Over the years he has been a business and tax resource called on by the local print and television media. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA). He has held positions as a board member at the state level for the VSCPA as well as serving as president, vice president, and secretary-treasurer for the Roanoke Area Chapter of VSCPA.
Patrick is a former President of the Roanoke Breakfast Lions Club and has been the president, vice-president, and treasurer. He has served on numerous boards for both business and civic organizations.
Patrick has been recognized by his peers having been voted in Virginia Business Magazine as one of its "Super CPA's". He and BUDDCPA have also been selected as "Best Local CPA" by the readers of the Roanoker magazine.
